The Company respects your right to personal privacy. We will not sell, lease, rent, or lend your personal information to a third party unless you explicitly give us permission to do so. To date, we do not ask for that permission. Be very aware during your registration process that certain registration information is shared with other users. Those fields are labeled as such in associated text fields, footnotes, labels or help notes pertaining to that specific field, page or section. If you do not want some or all of the information in any one of these shared fields to be shared with other users, you may not access or use the Site.

The Company may collect and use any information supplied by you to improve the Site and personalize your experience when visiting the Site. The Company may also use this information to tell you about new functions, features, or changes in service. For example, your email address may be used for any number of reasons including updating you about new Site features, invitations to bid, or statuses of your RFQs. If you choose, you may stop these emails at any time. When you visit the Site, we may collect technical and navigational information such as pages visited, browser used, your Internet protocol address, and amount of time spent on each page. This information may be used, for example, to improve upon our web design and functionality, or to alert you to software compatibility issues. Unless explicitly approved by you, the Company does not sell, rent, lease or lend personal information to others. Unless explicitly approved by you, the Company does not sell, rent, lease or lend email lists to others. The exception to these rules are (1) if the Company has the need to respond to a legal process such as a subpoena or court order, or to establish or exercise the Company's legal right or to defend against legal claims; (2) if the Company is bought or merged with another company, we may transfer information about you as required, in such case, the Company may notify you prior to the transferal of your information if we believe you will be subject to an alternate, looser policy relating to the sale or lease of your personal information; (3) if the Company has the need to investigate, prevent or take action against suspected illegal activities, threats or violations of law.

The Site may use aggregated anonymous information to provide information about its web site to advertisers, possible business partners and other entities. The Site may use aggregated anonymous information as part of sales and marketing campaigns or for any new business opportunities (for example as statistical data in a newsletter). Any information disseminated by the Company is anonymous in nature, for example the prices realized during bidding may be disseminated but will not include any personal data regarding the purchasers or the suppliers.

The primary personal information we collect about you is during the buyer and supplier registration processes. The primary purpose for collecting this information is to provide you the services of the 1804.com exchanges including the ability to participate in a dynamic e-Procurement process. Some of this registration information is private; some of this registration information is shared with other Users. You must carefully read the associated text, footnotes, labels or help fields that accompany each field, page or section in order to determine which fields are private and which fields are shared. If you do not want a field that is shared with other Users to be shared, you may not access or use the Site and should immediately leave the Site.

The Site uses session variables, which create a cookie on the User PC. A cookie is a small text file written to your hard drive for purposes such as security, to facilitate site navigation, and to personalize your experience on our site. Once you close your browser, the cookie simply becomes dormant but remains on your hard drive. When you visit the Site, we may also collect technical and navigational information, such as the type of browser you are using, your Internet protocol address (IP address), the web pages you visit as you navigate through the Site, and the average time you spend on a particular web page or on the Site. This information may be used for purposes such as alerting you to software compatibility issues, or may be analyzed in order to improve the Site design and functionality.

Spam, spyware and spoofing are not allowed

We highly recommend that you do not disclose your password to any third party, as you are responsible for all actions taken with your User ID and password. This includes, but is not limited to any fees charged to your account. If you have reason to believe that your password to the Site has been compromised, you should change your password immediately and notify the Company.

If you choose to disclose personal information to other Users on the site (for example, through text boxes during the RFQ bidding process or through the Site's messaging tools), please be aware that the information can be collected and used by others or you may receive unsolicited messages from others. Please be careful with whatever personal information you divulge. You should protect your privacy just as the Company will protect your privacy.
